VHS purchase

Here, I am stocking up on blank videotapes so I can record Turner Classic Movies, and not just provide succinct e-mail commentaries about them for Leo and Chester (aka Privvy Tipper, aka Larry).

Uh, Teddy, were you stocking up on tapes, or putting the hit on the lass in pink?
That's an awful lots of tapes, Chronicler - you must really love those classic films =) (I do too!)
I predict Theo will be the first to dive in and get TiVo. What'll you bet?
Well, she was cute, but could've been my daughter. I favor more experienced, mature women, like Peggi. ;-) ;-)

Yes, I do love those films. So far, I have taped:

"The Naked Spur" (1953)
"Modern Times" (1936)
"The Big Country" (1955)
"Mata Hari" (1931)
"Cleopatra" (1934)
"It Happened One Night" (1934)
"Tomorrow is Forever" (1946)
"So Big" (1932)
"Story of Louis Pasteur" (1935)
""49th Parallel" (1941)

And, I'm just getting started. The plan is, when I build my adobe in the desert, I will be without cable for a while. So, I will just watch re-runs.
Peggi is not a "mature" woman, as you so clumsily put it. She is a flower of the desert. You, on the other hand, are a ham-handed Lothario who would be better off operating a bulldozer or wrecking ball than trying to woo a beautiful, intelligent member of ther opposite sex.
Ooh, I like "the flower of the desert" thing (as long as you don't mean a 100 year old flowering cactus or anything like that)...LOL And Ted meant well I'm sure =)
"Ham-handed Lothario" !

That's funny!!
By the way, I have just added to my vintage film war chest:

"The Lady Eve" (1941)
"Rebecca" (1940)

My timer is set to record "Notorious" (1946) at 2 p.m.

Ah yes Jessica and I where involved for a short period of time, back in the hi-school days, a cute one at that, i agree with a the chroniclers taste, older and more mature say mid 50's.
