After 1832, successive owners added on wings. It's called "rambling architecture." My father designed the master stroke, the capstone, some years ago, when he enclosed the south-facing patio.
Absolutely gorgeous, Chronicler! Has the home been in your family since 1832? Don't you just love old houses - the one I grew up in in St. Louis had all these awesome little hiding places, an attic, basement, etc. We were always discovering something new...also, that lawn is amazing - love the emerald green =) Thanks for sharing these pics!Post a Comment
