Dusty Trail

This is three photos, crudely spliced. It is impossible for a camera to render the splendor of the Chiricahua National Monument.

It is indeed awe-inspiring =)
Gosh, thanks! But what do you think about the Chiricahuas? N'YUK-N'YUK!!
n'yuk n'yuk n'yuk indeed =) actually I've never been there - just driving through Texas Canyon but never hiking or camping in the Chiricahua's or to the monument...ever...the photos are super nice, and the mountains look incredible (and yes, you do take awesome pics Ted =)
Thanks Peggi. If I had the opportunity, I would love to show you where I have camped up there, in a very beautiful and serene forest area with tons of seasoned firewood lying around and fire rings composed of nice stones. It surprised me that they do permit campfires in a region so cautious about forest fires.

You can tell people respect the place because it is pristine. At night, the sky is so dark and the Milky Way is crystal clear overhead, and there is utter absence of appliances humming, cars droning in the distance, TVs, radios, phones (can't even get a cell phone signal, lol). It's so quiet you can actually hear yourself think.
