Weird Weather

It has been humid and hot here in the desert, unusually humid for May. Strange clouds forming and some serious microbursts, winds up to 60 mph. in very concentrated areas. This poor old cottonwood took a hit and literally fell apart.

When I left my office at O-dark-hundred on Tuesday morning, I could smell the wonderful aroma of creosote bush (Larrea tridentata).

I knew then that the rains would come.

Tuesday night, they did. And the scent of heaven was strong upon the land.

And it was good.
